We try to get back to messages and emails as quickly as we can but as we spend most of our days covered in clay and wood shavings, this sometimes takes longer than we’d like. In the meantime, you might find the answer you’re looking for below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Shop openings

We open our online shop three or four times a year. There is normally a high demand for our work and the collections tend to sell out quickly, sometimes within half an hour. We give information beforehand on Instagram and with our email newsletter as to when the shops will be and what will be included.

Shopping Cart

During our shop openings you are able to put items into your virtual shopping cart. However, these items are not reserved for you until the transaction is complete. These means someone else may purchase this item in the meantime. We understand this can be frustrating but this is the way most websites work to ensure people don’t just fill up their carts and stop others from browsing.

Pre-orders

Once a year we hold a commission shop where larger quantities of work are available to pre-order. This is usually in the winter. It is best to follow us on Instagram or sign up to our newsletter to learn when.

Commissions

We love to work on installations and large collections by commission, please be in contact with any projects or ideas. We are unable to make dinner sets or functional ware to commission. These are only sold through our online shops.

Wholesale

We’re afraid we don’t have a wholesale offering.

Cafes and restaurants

Occasionally we are able to take on small restaurant or cafe orders. Please get in touch with any potential projects and we’ll get back to you.

Deliveries

Please see our terms and conditions or write to us with any issues you’re experiencing. Like trust issues.

Care of our pottery

We use matte glazes and stoneware for our pots. Our pots are handmade and are more fragile than industrially made pottery. We recommend hand washing, avoiding the microwave and strongly staining food and drink. However, we have been using and dishwashing our own pottery for many years with very few issues.

Press and PR

Please write to either Emily or Jono. Emily if you want a fast, efficient answer. Jono if you want a slow, occasionally amusing answer.

Visiting the studio

If you’re visiting the East of Scotland and wish to visit the studio then please let us know via email. We will do our best to accommodate, although it’s not always possible, as our studio is also our home. Please note that we don’t often have work available for purchase from our studio.

Thank you for taking the time to read these, if you have any other questions then please email us.
